Why Canine Massage?

In the Canine Massage section we will show you how to implement what you have learned in the Equine Massage program towards man’s best friend. By working on a dog's soft tissues, canine massage can restore a dog’s mobility and flexibility. Canine massage will alleviate stress, reduce pain, relax tight and sore muscles. In athletic and working dogs canine massage can help heal sprains and strains.

Lucky’s Veterinary prognosis

Non-ambulatory (He could not walk)

  • 2+ CP deficits (Neurological deficit)

  • Decreased patient reflex

  • Deep pain still present (The only good news)

Two Options:

  • #1 Referral to a neurologist for an MRI /myelogram and surgical intervention. Consultation with the neurologist provided information that proceeding with this option would give Lucky a 75% chance of walking well again within 3 months. The diagnostic MRI / myelogram and decompression surgical fees would be close to $5,000.

  • Hospitalization with medical management that included high doses of anti - inflammatory corticosteroids to reduce inflammation and gastrointestinal protectants.

  • Rear limb weakness so severe he could not walk or stand (paraparesis)
