Meet Natalie, My Youngest Student
Meet Natalie my youngest equine massage student ever. I have taught mother/daughter and father/son pairs before but this was definitely a unique experience. Natalie came with her mother, I was a bit skeptical due to her young age but I quickly changed my mind about this young lady. She was quiet in demeanor but steadfast and attentive to all the class materials. With youthful passion she absorbed information like a sponge. She readily picked up on on the six different techniques of equine massage. I was pretty amazed!
I have since followed up with Natalie on her progress. It wasn’t too surprising to see she kept up with equine massage for her personal equine care, but I was pleased to see her enthusiastically spreading the word in her local horse community about both equine and human! And in her enthusiasm she was able to get quite a few clients for her Equine Massage business. Go Natalie!
Natalie is the youngest student I've had, a mere 10 years old. What she misses in life experience she makes up with passion, focus and youthful enthusiasm. Two mornings after a back injury, Joe, Natalie's dad, couldn't get out of bed. Though he went to the chiropractor the morning after his back injury the following morning he couldn't get out of bed at all. My school not only covers the horse but the rider as well. With nothing to loose a somewhat skeptical dad let young Natalie apply what she learned from my school. Amazingly Joe was able to get up and turn his head, bend and flex 45 minutes later. Dad is no longer skeptical but a firm believer.
This is a six month follow up with 10 year old Natalie, my youngest pupil. Her progress as an Equine Masseuse is amazing. She certainly is one of my most enthusiastic pupil I've seen in quite a while. With youth comes an attitude that everything is possible, and she certainly is making a go of her Equine Massage business. It didn't take long for Natalie to garner 15 happy clients. In this video Natalie and her mother Colleen talk about Natalie's new passion in helping horses feeling their best in their horse community.
